So this is Day 20 of living in our new apartment. From Williamsburg to Bed-Stuy it is quite an adjustment. The neighborhood is much different from that of Williamsburg. Williamsburg is full of young hipsters and artists, and Bed-Stuy is... not. I'm use to living in Williamsburg because it's my first New York neighborhood. I loved living next to a delish Polish bakery, being steps away from Waterfront with a beautiful view of Manhattan, numerous friendly bars and stores, and one stop away from Manhattan on the L train. I have grown to love it. Bed-Stuy is a little south of Williamsburg and a little out of my comfort zone. Instead of venturing out around my apartment on my days off, I find myself staying home. The only time I would leave the apartment is to rush across the street to get on the G train and head for the city. It doesn't help that we live near the Marcy Houses (where Jay-Z famously grew up). I'm sure it's not deemed as dangerous as I set it out to be. I would love to see what Bed-Stuy has to offer. Apart from the neighborhood, the apartment is everything I have ever wanted in an apartment. It is very modern with a box frame, huge bathroom, two bedrooms, and one office which we made into the Night Kids studio. And it doesn't hurt that Night Kids is all under one roof :)

This is the view from our balcony. We're still in the process of decorating and organizing our room and living room. But we're looking at it as one step at a time. We got a black queen size bed and a black 6-drawer dresser so far, all part of the Malm series from Ikea. This is the remaining things we need to get:1) black Malm 3-drawer dresser
2) black Malm nightstand
3) curtains
4) new bed sheets & pillow cases
5) Ikea bookshelves
6) Crate & Barrel miscellaneous decorating shit
7) plants for the balcony
Once we get the money down the road, Thomas, Jill, Willie, and I will invest more into our living room. I'm excited to see all the memories that are going to unfold within us four. All the dinners, movie nights, parties, Christmas', birthdays, EVERYTHING! We are a family and we will grow together.

the view- I love it!
Thanks so much, Zaira! It's gorgeous to wake up with such a view, that is, unless the sun is glaring in your face lol :)
